HI, I’M EVALENA, and I write non-fictional books, blogs and articles on a range of topics from arts and crafts to teaching and writing.

Last year, my alter ego Lïnnéa stepped out of the box I normally keep her in, and began to dust off the work I tend to keep hidden. She’s made herself busy since then, reworking old lyrics, poems and stories. And writing some new ones.

It’s scary stuff to share a part of yourself that feels personal, and I guess that’s why I have to do it. You see, I have this never-ending desire to jump off cliffs just to see if I can… 😉

One such thing, for me, was NaNoWriMo. For years, I promised myself I’d do it, but something always came in between. I put it down to pretty much anything other than the real reason why I wasn’t doing it: The fact I was too scared to let anyone read my fictional texts.

Yep, I had to jump off the cliff. And here we are…

I’m going to do my best to post some #preptober posts and tell you why I would like to see you join me for this year’s NaNoWriMo.
