SO THIS IS YULE, AND WE’RE RIGHT ON TIME!

We’re here! After many months at sea, we’re finally back at our home port, Libertalia, where we’ll be riding out the winter storms and catching up on landlubber business. We have mysteries to solve, shops and inns to open, and a few books to release, but not tonight. Tonight we ride at anchor and hold on to what, or who, we love.
We have deliberately set this, the last of the Yule Calendar e-mails, to be released just as the UK clocks chime in the 25th. Thus ends the big day, julafton, in Scandiland and the Christmas Day celebration begins in the Anglo-centric universe. We hope that means you are going to get some much needed rest and recharge time. And maybe, just maybe, we can inspire you to write something.
For the final gift in our calendar, our Ship’s Belle is giving away her soon-to-be-released 2024 Photo Inspiration of the Month Journal with 12 + 2 photos taken by the Queen of Creepy herself. Each photo comes with a prompt we hope will inspire you to pick up a pen and… Well, write. It could be a poem, a hundo, a haiku or a sprawling epic – the choice is yours and the options are endless.
You don’t need to share what you write with us, but we’d love it if you would. For now, though, we’re Keeping It Short and Sweet so we can all go back to the julmys.
We’ll be back on the 27th with a little heads-up for the sales, and a reminder to download any gifts you may not have had time to look at yet.

When I was little, my nan used to buy an activity pack called “Mors Julbrev” – a thick envelope full of penny dreadfuls, recipes, short stories, yule craft projects etc. I will never forget how it felt to sit in her kitchen and solve the puzzles together.
