LET'S WRITE,  LINNEA LUCIFER,  NANOWRIMO,  WRITING PROMPTS

YOUR NOVEL IN FIVE WORDS

HEY I’M BACK! And yes, I’m still behind, but today we’re doing InstaWrimo Day 25 where the prompt is:

– Speedrun: Your novel in five words or less.

Let me tell you, this had me completely stumped for days! I did write a one-liner a while back where the prompt was to describing our #wip in the funniest, and most useless way possible. Back then, I wrote:

“Edda keeps dying, and it’s really pissing her off.”

But that was more than five words, innit, so I had to rethink for this one. And this is what I came up with:

Ehwaz: Trust, love and partnership.

Ehwaz (ᛖ) is the e-rune (for the eh-sound in Edda for example) in the elder futhark. The first runic alphabet of the Northmen who spoke Old Norse.

This rune is significant to the Ulfrheim saga for many reasons, but first and foremost because it binds Edda and Horse together. (I’ll be writing more about bindrunes both in the blog and in the books in the weeks and months to come.) Ehwaz means horse, so it’s the first letter in her name and it carries his name too.

In chapter one of Fenrir’s Cubbies, Edda receives a necklace from Horse. It has a pendant featuring a mermaid riding, or holding on to, the ehwaz rune. The mermaid is also significant to the story, but all I can say about that is foreshadowing.

Some of the deeper meanings of the ehwaz rune, for rune reading (divination) purposes is:

      • Trust, love and partnership. A horse and rider, a dream, a union. Travel, transportation and motion.
      • Ehwaz is the rune of harmonious teamwork and trust. The rune for pairs of entities working together for a common goal.

And there’s also this quote from an upcoming chapter that relates to the bindrune: “Cosmic twins, they’ll find love, trust and dependence in each other. Their lives entwined, together they’ll cross boundaries and build a highly resilient union based on loyal relationships.

So, yes. I think that’s the best speedrun I can come up with right now. Which means that it’s time to turn the microphone over to you, my friend.

– Are you writing a story at the moment?

– If yes, what can you tell me about it?

– If no, would you mind tell ing me why?

Let’s talk in the comments below or send me a message via socials. Also, remember to post the links in the comments below if you use any of my prompts in your own posts. Or if you have a wip you’d like to share. I’d love to come over and see them.

Thank you very much for popping in to see me today. I see you and I appreciate you.

Laters Lovely,

//Evalena 😘
